About the Founder

Steff Himes

Founder, RAIISS · AI Solutions Architect · Industrial Software Engineer

25+ years across full-stack .NET, industrial automation, AI architecture, and high-tech manufacturing. I started RAIISS to bring the Integrated Engineering Advantage to industrial companies that are tired of watching specialist teams fail to deliver.

The Path Here

I didn't learn these disciplines in a bootcamp. I forged them on the factory floor, at the laser bench, and in the enterprise cloud.

My career started in semiconductor manufacturing at Intel and Novellus Systems, integrating multi-million dollar electroplating and CVD tools. At LSP Technologies, I wrote the chiller controls, pulse slicers, and microsecond-sync timing generators for laser manufacturing — the origin of the high-speed WPF/TwinCAT architecture RAIISS uses today. At OTC/AirTechnologies, I built custom, data-driven Modbus libraries for compressor OEMs.

Today I serve as a Tech Lead at a Fortune 500 ingredient company, acting as the internal AI consultant on an enterprise search platform serving hundreds of global users with sub-second response times against 730,000+ records.

In parallel, I built RAIISS to put that same level of engineering directly in the hands of companies that need it — without the enterprise consultancy overhead and without the multi-year timelines.

The Philosophy

I've seen too many industrial AI projects fail for the same reason: the engineering team speaks AI, the operations team speaks manufacturing, and the translation between them becomes a month-long game of telephone. By the time a working system emerges, the original problem has moved.

RAIISS exists to eliminate that translation gap. We deploy the Integrated Engineering Advantage — one team that speaks both languages natively, so your domain expertise goes in and working software comes out, fast.
